Summer Conference highlights: Celebrating culture and collaboration.

On a warm summer’s day in July, over 70 LHC Procurement Group (LHCPG) colleagues came together for our annual staff summer conference. Joining from all our regions across Great Britain, staff gathered to meet, greet, and collaborate following the close of our second year as a not-for-profit Company Limited by Guarantee.

Around the World in two days

The theme of this years’ two-day event was focussed on providing exemplary customer service in all forms, followed by an evening of  ‘Around the World’. With our nationwide team, representing over 20 different countries globally – from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe – the evening was a celebration of our diversity, multiple nationalities, and rich cultures.

On day one of the event, we were delighted to welcome LHCPG Board member Martin Ford – Director of Assets and Maintenance, Wales & West Housing – who opened the conference with some inspiring stories, and acknowledgement and appreciation of LHCPG’s deep rooted commitment to Social Value.

Group CEO, Clive Feeney, continued the opening comments with a look back at the last twelve months’ successes, celebrating our continued journey of growth and innovation, and a snapshot of achievements from around the business.

Celebrating our partnerships

We were thrilled to also welcome to the stage Sara Edmonds, Co-Director of the National Retrofit Hub, following LHC Procurement Group’s recent partnership with the National Retrofit Hub. Sara highlighted the closely aligned goals of both LHCPG and the National Retrofit Hub, and how both organisations are working towards common goals such as reducing emissions, eliminating fuel poverty, and providing safe, secure, and sustainable homes and buildings.

The conference continued with a series of engaging workshops and light-hearted, yet pertinent, role-play scenarios demonstrating how every member of the business can maximise our customer engagement by continuing to provide excellent and supportive service to all suppliers, clients, members and partners.

Group CEO, Clive Feeney, commented, “The annual conference is the perfect opportunity to update our colleagues with our continued growth and future plans. It also allows us to recognise and appreciate company-wide contributions to not only achieve our strategic goals, but deliver on our mission of improving lives and places - something which carries true meaning for many of our team.

“Our people are imperative to the success of LHCPG, and we value every team, department, and region. I look forward to the journey ahead and the fantastic things we can all achieve together.”
